About Chris
Christine Langford is the Golf Director at Abbotsley Golf Academy. Chris has over 30 years experience in the professional golf world she is former US LPGA and founder member of the Ladies European Tour, winning a total of 5 tournaments during her successful playing career.
Chris turned her attention to coaching in the late 80’s and since then has been county coach to numerous squads, an English Regional Coach and was National Coach to the Welsh Ladies Golf Union for 7 years. She was recently asked to assist in the preparation of the 2012 Curtis Cup Team for their biennial match against the USA - which they won!
Chris was one of the first women professionals to be appointed as head professional at a club in the UK, she was also one of the first women professionals to be awarded the status of Advanced Fellow of the Professional Golfers' Association.
Abbotsley is now the home of Christine Langford Golf Schools a business which Chris started over 20 years ago. In that time she has organised and hosted pro-ams, golf schools and tournaments at great venues all over the world and built a good reputation for customer care and quality service.
The Abbotsley Golf Academy combines the very best in golf tuition with excellent practise facilities and the relaxed friendly environment that is the Abbotsley Golf Hotel. Coaching is available on an individual or group basis, residential packages or day schools, just contact us and we will design something designed for you.
